<Note: Apart from the front matter, this manual comprises two quite separate parts: Part 1 is "The GEM Collection"; Part 2 is "DOS +". Each part has its own separate Contents, and the chapters in each part begin at Number 1. (Even the page numbers begin at Page 1 in each part in the printed version.) In the original the first part has its own Index section, though there is no index for Part 2. The "Conventions used in this Manual" page (linked above) is repeated before the start of each section>
